Kids Clubs on the farms bring smiles to underprivileged children of farm workers.

Children living in poverty often have responsibility for younger siblings with pressures that rob them of their childhood.

Hey folks, 

can you believe that it's October already? Seriously, where did the year go? It seems like time is speeding up as we grow older, or is it just me? Last month we celebrated three years of life and ministry in Paarl, and what a wonderfully blessed three years they have been. We've had our share of trials but we are so thankful to God for calling us here and continuing to lead and guide us every day.

Annual Conference
We had a fantastic time at the conference, it was really a time of refreshing for us and The Lord was so faithful to show up and give us instruction from His word. Our theme was Christ & The Church and the teaching was top-notch. During the course of the week we went through the book of Philippians, one that has been of great encouragement and instruction to us over the years. Dave's life verse is Philippians 1:21 but hearing it taugh afresh was like a solid slap to the face. 'For me to live in Christ, to die is gain' – what an encouragement to live out lives 100% for Christ, not for the things of this world, realising that our identity is in Him and we should be storing up riches in heaven not here on earth.

Edward's Salvation!
We want to share with you the wonderful news that Edward gave his life to Christ this month. We shared the gospel with him and encouraged him to really take some time to think about the most important decision he'd ever make. A couple of weeks later he came over one Saturday and told us that he had decided he wanted to be born again! We had the wonderful privilege of praying with him and leading him to Christ. There is no greater feeling in life that seeing someone commit their lives to Jesus. Please pray with us for him as he begins this living relationship with our heavenly Father and that he will become a life long disciple of Christ. PRAISE GOD!!

Youth Night
After the success of our first youth night we have decided to make these pretty regular, one every two weeks. Please keep praying for wisdom for us as we seek to establish this new ministry in God's will, perfect timing and strength. We just want to see the youth encouraged and built up in their faith so that they can stand against the temptations of the world.

Praise God for a blessed time at the conference

Praise God for Edward's salvation. Please pray for his growth and also for his family situation

Praise God for spring

Praise God for his grace, mercy, compassion and boundless love

Praise God for the new youth ministry and please pray with us for wisdom

Please pray for the Turi Family – Bryce, Sarah, Johanna, Scarlett & Jebediah, as they get closer to the big move from California to Paarl. Please pray specifically for the emotion strain of moving so far away from everyone you know and love. If you could also be praying for a home and vehicle for them here in Paarl that'd be appreciated.

Please pray for Mike & Misty's upcoming furlough. They will be in the states for 8 weeks from November through until January. We are excited for them and praying it will be a really restful time. We'd appreciate pray for strength as we lead the church while they are away. 

We'd appreciate pray for God's blessings on our attempts to raise our kids! Elijah has been going through a very testing time lately – being disobedient and unruley. Sadly at the same time Murdo is teething pretty bad. So it's been a tough time, lots of tears. We know this is just a season but your prayer never goes amiss. Thanks
